Code of Conduct
ENRC strives to achieve the highest standards of corporate governance. The Group Code of Conduct governs how ENRC and its employees conduct themselves on a day-to-day basis.
It has both legal and ethical considerations to be adhered to covering 16 different areas.
These include, but are not limited to:
- The ‘Overarching Principle’: employees should act with integrity and honesty and to the highest ethical standards.
- Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption: ENRC is resolutely opposed to bribery and corruption in whatever form it may take.
- Record Keeping: transactions must be properly authorised and recorded.
- Competition Law: ENRC shall compete fairly in conducting business.
- Legal and Regulatory Compliance: employees must comply with all laws.
The Code of Conduct was reviewed in 2010 and 2011, and is updated on an annual basis to ensure it adheres to international best practice. It was last updated in November 2011 and is currently being drafted in Russian, French, Portuguese and Chinese languages for rollout throughout the Group.
Approval of ENRC’s Code of Conduct and any ‘significant’ changes are the responsibility of the Board. Other changes can be approved by ENRC’s General Counsel. Responsibility for drafting, monitoring and reviewing the Code of Conduct lies with the Group Compliance Department.

Training Programme
Compliance training programme has been, and continues to be, conducted across the Group.
Given the nature the mining industry, the company first assesses the key employees that require training. These include senior management at both Group and operational levels including Directors, vice-presidents, finance functions, middle office control functions, internal audit, legal, compliance, risk, M&A, human resources, as well procurement officers and specification engineers.
Compliance education and training is taken place at quarterly operational review meetings.
Across the wider Group, ENRC’s online ‘Ethics Training’ module and ‘Code of Conduct’ module have been completed by over 2400 employees globally. Employees will complete refresher courses bi-annually.
