ENRC is one of the largest employers in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Group currently employs more than 72,000 people, of which 65,000 are in Kazakhstan.

As a consequence, our success as a Group depends significantly on our ability to attract, retain and motivate key management and employees.

We are known in Kazakhstan for being a socially-orientated and responsible business, working extensively for the benefit of our employees and the communities in which we operate.

Our employees are key to our success. We provide them with many benefits, including the provision of free healthcare and children’s summer camps, and innovative training programmes that help them to reach their full potential.

As well as social initiatives, we also take steps to help our employees fulfil their working potential. A highly qualified and skilled workforce is at the heart of any successful business. Over the past five years ENRC has launched a number of educational and training projects and implemented a long-term Talent Management Programme.

The main aim is to ensure continuity, attract and retain talented staff, and train employees for different levels within the Company, including top management. Components of the programme are Replacement Planning, Succession Planning and Talent Management.

ENRC also supports the communities within which it operates, often located in remote areas. We invest to improve infrastructure, finance health programmes and construct educational, cultural and sports facilities. Over the past three years, ENRC has been investing on average US$110 million annually in social programs.

We also undertake a number of charitable projects, via the ENRC Komek Corporate Foundation, which provide cultural, educational and other social projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan and beyond. ENRC KOMEK has invested more than US$63 million in social and community projects to date.
