The Other Non-ferrous Division is based mainly in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia.
It produces and processes copper and cobalt ore, and includes a road logistics business operating in Central and Southern Africa and a number of development projects in coal (Mozambique), bauxite (Mali), platinum (Zimbabwe) and fluorspar (South Africa).

Copper and cobalt mining and processing operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo, run the Group with the state-owned Gécamines as a minority (30%) partner.
The operations include open cast mines, crushing, beneficiation, concentrator plants and an electro-winning facility. Assets also include:
Holder of exploration permit assets contiguous to the Group’s existing operations in the DRC. ENRC owns 100% of SMKK.
90% interest in Chambishi Metals PLC, a Zambian copper and cobalt producer, together with Comit Resources FZE, a Dubai-based marketing and sales company that historically has handled Chambishi’s copper and cobalt sales.
A 14.35% stake in Northam Platinum, a major South African platinum producer, providing a strategic optionality in a key commodity with strong fundamentals and in an industry with significant barriers to entry.
Owner of high quality copper and cobalt exploitation licences located in the DRC. In August 2010 ENRC has acquired 50.5% stake in Camrose Resources Limited. In January 2012 the Group has reached an agreement with First Quantum Minerals (FQM) to acquire all of FQM’s residual claims and assets in respect of the Kolwezi Tailings project, the Frontier and Lonshi mines and related exploration interests, all located in the Katanga Province of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The acquisition was closed in March 2012.
