Ms Zaure Zaurbekova, CFO (Age 47)

Ms Zaurbekova became Group Chief Financial Officer on 30th September 2009, having been Acting Chief Financial Officer since June 2009 and has been Chief Financial Officer Kazakhstan since 2001. From late 2007, she was Deputy CFO of ENRC and was Deputy Financial Officer Kazakhstan until 2001. Prior to that she was Finance Director and, later, first Vice-President of Kazchrome.

Prior to joining ENRC, Ms Zaurbekova worked in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan and began her career in the Kazakh Research Institute of Automation of Planning.

Zaure Zaurbekova holds a Bachelors degree in applied mathematics from Kazakh State University and in economics and management from the Kazakh Market Institute. In addition, she has a PhD in Economics and is a full member of the Academy of Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
