Dr Johannes Sittard (Age 66)

Dr Sittard is the Chairman and a non-executive Director of the Company. Dr Sittard has extensive experience in the natural resource and steel industries, having worked in the business for over 25 years.

Dr Sittard commenced his career as an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Iron and Steel at the Technical University of Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Germany (1971-1978). He has a Bachelor's Degree in Iron and Steelmaking from Technical University, Berlin and a Master's Degree in Iron and Steelmaking and a Doctorate in Metallurgy from the Technical University of Clausthal-Zellerfeld.

Prior to joining the Group in 2001, Dr Sittard was the President and Chief Operating Officer of ISPAT International N.V. (now known as Mittal Steel Company N.V.).

ENRC is a public company traded on London Stock Exchange and the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, with the Kazakhstan government holding 11.65% (as at 24 March 2009).

Ferroalloy Division
World's largest producer of ferrochrome, on a chrome content basis (Source: Heinz H. Pariser, 2008). 

Iron Ore Division
One of the world's significant iron ore exporters by volume (Source: CRU, 2008).

Alumina and Aluminium Division
The ninth largest supplier of traded alumina by volume in the world (Source:  CRU, 2008).

Energy Division
One of the largest electricity providers in Kazakhstan, accounting for approximately 14.5% of the country's recorded electricity production in 2008.

Logistics Division
One of Kazakhstan's largest freight forwarding carrier companies, providing effective transportation and logistical services to the Group's principal operating divisions and third parties.

The exclusive supplier of all ENRC products, serving customers in all markets across five continents.
