Sir Richard Sykes (Age 67)

Sir Richard Sykes is currently the Chair of the NHS London, the Strategic Health Authority accountable for the performance of the National Health Service in the capital. Prior to that he was the Rector of Imperial College, London and the Senior Independent Director of Rio Tinto plc. He has over 30 years of experience within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, serving as Chief Executive and Chairman of GlaxoWellcome from 1995 to 2000 and then as Chairman of GlaxoSmithKline until 2002. He was Rector of Imperial College London from January 2001 to June 2008. Sir Richard is the Senior Independent Director and non-executive Deputy Chairman of the Remuneration Committee of ENRC. After reading microbiology at the University of London, Sir Richard obtained doctorates in microbial chemistry and science from the University of Bristol and the University of London, respectively. Sir Richard is a Fellow of the Royal Society.

The ninth largest supplier of traded alumina by volume in the world (Source:  CRU, 2008).

Energy Division
One of the largest electricity providers in Kazakhstan, accounting for approximately 14.5% of the country's recorded electricity production in 2008.

Logistics Division
One of Kazakhstan's largest freight forwarding carrier companies, providing effective transportation and logistical services to the Group's principal operating divisions and third parties.

The exclusive supplier of all ENRC products, serving customers in all markets across five continents.
