Its long term focus is on the implementation of programmes aimed at supporting ENRC's own workforce, such as improvements to housing conditions, professional staff training and education, as well as the programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the general public, such as development of scientific, technical and artistic creativity, protection of public health, supporting orphanages, schools and higher education institutions, and environmental protection.
To date ENRC Komek has financed the following:
- Donations to Alginsk Orphanage (Aktobe), the construction of churches and mosques in Chromtau and Aktobe.
- Support for several sports initiatives, including the development of ice hockey facilities in Kostanai region.
- Provision of housing in Karaganda.
- Development of sports facilities in Pavlodar and the provision of housing in Ekibastuz and Aksu.
In its first year ENRC Komek has invested US$31million in social and community projects.
